The Town of Stanbridge East has been under the policing jurisdiction of the Quebec Provincial Police. Any inquiries or concerns should be submitted to the Sûreté du Québec at the following number: 450-266-1122 or 911.
Garbage collection
Garbage collection is done every two weeks, if there is a change, a special notice will be sent out from the town. North sector on Mondays and South sector on Tuesdays.
Recycle collection
Collection of recyclable items is done every two weeks. Check the calendar below. North sector on Mondays and South sector on Tuesdays.
Composting collection
Collection of compost is done every two weeks, for January, February, March and December and every week for April, May, June, July, August, September, October and November. Check the calendar below. North sector on Wednesdays and South sector on Thursdays.

Newspapers, magazines, circulars, catalogues, telephone books,
White or coloured paper, computer and fax paper. - Plastics
All plastics, fabric softener or javex bottles, water or juice jugs, etc. - Metals
All metals, cans, (well rinsed) aluminium plates, pots and pans, lawn chairs, etc. - Refundable products
Any container that has a refund, cans, soft drink, beer or water bottles, - Cardboard
Flat or corrugated cardboard, cereal and tissue boxes, egg cartons, etc. - Glass
All glass jars, bottles etc. These should be rinsed and caps should be removed. - Not Acceptable
All tires, dangerous domestic products, any polystyrene (containers, cups, packaging material etc.) Waxed paper or cardboard, oil containers, dishes, mirrors, household glass.

Dangerous Domestic Waste Depot
The residents of the Brome-Missisquoi MRC can deposit their dangerous domestic waste free of charge at the following address by producing proof of residency or any other piece of identification indicating the holder’s address.

Paratransit service and Public transit
Brome-Missisquoi’s paratransit service offers a public transit service, with an adapted vehicle, from door to door, which operates by reservation only.
Only those people who are eligible and their caregivers (if necessary) can use it. Check on Website of the Ministère des Transports du Québec.
