Municipal Council
Every municipality is represented by a Council. The council is composed of the Mayor, Director-General and six councillors and are elected for a term of four years. The election for the present term of council took place on November 2, 2025.
By-laws, resolutions and other municipal enactments must be passed by the council in session.
All transactions are verified annually by an Auditor. The annual budget must be presented at a public meeting before it can be adopted.
